March 12, 2020, Broadway theaters shut down due to the COVID-19 virus spreading like wildfire throughout New York City. The world-wide pandemic created the longest time in history that Broadway theaters went dark. During this sudden pause, I made remote environmental portraits of artists and performers at home. In addition, I walked the vacant theater district streets to record the dormant days and nights awaiting for the curtain to rise again.
